Dear Beloved Community,
Resurrecting Hope in Small, Bold Ways
As we move through April with its theme of Resurrecting Hope, we’re invited to remember that resurrection is not just a one-time miracle—it’s an ongoing, daily practice. For many of us, hope can feel like a fragile flicker, especially when the world is full of reasons to despair. But hope doesn’t begin with big declarations or sweeping transformations. It begins with one small step.
Back in January, during our Bible study sessions, we pulled out those purple folders and dared to name the things we were still hoping for. We cut out magazine clippings, wrote bold dreams in Sharpie, and created hope vision boards. That wasn’t just a fun activity—it was a sacred act. We declared, in the face of fear and fatigue, that our stories aren’t over. That we still expect beauty.
So this month, consider: what small thing can resurrect hope in your life today?
• Light a candle and say aloud one thing you still believe is possible.
• Text a friend and tell them what you’re proud of in them.
• Revisit your vision board and add something new—or remove what no longer fits.
• Step outside, breathe deeply, and remember that seasons do change.
Hope is not naive. It’s stubborn. It refuses to bow to cynicism. And when we practice it in small ways, we join a resurrection movement much bigger than ourselves.
What’s your small act of hope this week? Let’s keep resurrecting—together. ✨🕊️🌱
Blessings,
Pastor Brian
